God as Creator

Simply put

God made all things.

But that statement alone would be a rather short lesson even for a first grader.

God made(let your students supply answers)

some things they may say:

Sun

Earth

trees

plants

animals

people

After a few minutes of discussion

you can tell the children

-They are created by God, they are unique, they are special, they have a purpose and by praying and listening for God’s voice in their lives they will find that purpose and learn to glorify God in all they do.

-They are responsible for Gods creation(to be good stewards..what does that mean?)

Next if you have time and hopefully you do

read to the children the first creation story from the book of Genesis in the Bible

then

give them a coloring activity to do this link can be printed off and put into book form

also here is a link to a “mini-book” on creation the kids like having these little books to take home and share with their parents

God created the world because he loves us and wants us to have everything we need.

Let us give thanks to God for supplying our needs and being ever present in our lives

Amen
