Lenten Songs of Reflection

Purple

is the color of Lent

When we look at our liturgical calendar  we associate Purple with Advent and Lent

When we see purple we should automatically know that we are in a season in which we are preparing ourselves, our souls for something important.

So in an attempt to help my fellow catechists prepare their hearts and minds for teaching about Lent to their classes hear are some inspirational Lenten Songs:

Hosea: by Gregory Norbert     prepare

come back to me with all your heart don’t let fear keep us apart

Somebodies knockin at your door:             prepare!

How Deep the Fathers Love for us            prepare!

What Wondrous love is this          prepare!

and finally

one of the most beautiful spine tingling songs of Christianity:

Were You There

How will you prepare this lent?
