Making thankfulness a part of every thought.

Today is ______(fill in the blank)
We can choose to focus on
the horrors of the past
or we
can
give thanks

and praise to God
for all the Blessings in our life

We have only to look at our thermostat, to know we are more blessed than much of the world.
We have only to look in our fridge/pantry, to know we are more blessed than many in our city.
We have only to look at our friends who are struggling with various health and other issues
to know that but by the grace of God there go I

We only have to examine our blessings and then walk on sharing what we can with others

Did Jesus not say Leave what you have and follow me?

Matthew 19:21New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)

21 Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money[a] to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”

Surely I say to you

Open your eyes to the world around you

Open your ears to the sounds you hear

Open your heart to those in need

Open you mind that you may begin to understand

the will of God in your life.

Listen to the Beautiful Carey Landry Song “Only a Shadow” and meditate on God’s will in your life.

and then

Give thanks and Praise to God

And say AMEN to all God has done in your life.
